MITSUAKI IWAGO’S KANGAROOS by Mitsuaki Iwago...
MITSUAKI IWAGO’S KANGAROOS by Mitsuaki Iwago (Chronicle: $19.95; unpaginated). The only large animal that uses hopping as a means of locomotion, kangaroos resemble a malformed cross between a human and a rabbit. The noted Japanese wildlife photographer made several trips to Australia to document the red kangaroo, one of the larger species. Although most of these dramatic pictures appear to have been chosen for aesthetic qualities, rather than scientific content, they reveal the shifting moods of these oddly appealing marsupials.
