DNA Tests Exonerate Man After 10 Years in Prison

RICHMOND, Va. —
Gov. George Allen Friday freed a man who served nearly 10 years in prison for a rape that DNA tests show he did not commit.
“I have proceeded with great care and caution,” Allen said at a news conference announcing that Edward Honaker was being released. “I’m satisfied today that I’ve made the right decision.”
