Desert Thwarts Antelope Valley
Bongkuk Pak’s 18-yard touchdown pass to Danny Quinal with 46 seconds remaining and Xavier Acosta’s conversion kick propelled College of the Desert to a 21-20 Foothill Conference victory over Antelope Valley on Saturday.
If Antelope Valley could find any consolation, it was in an offense that put together sustained scoring drives. The Antelopes (1-6, 1-4 in conference play), who had only two scoring drives of any length all season, marched 76, 80 and 55 yards for touchdowns.
Antelope Valley took a 20-7 lead through three quarters on a 13-yard pass from Mike Gleich to Chris Brown and one-yard runs by Roosevelt Miller and Domino Gibson.
Miller led all rushers with 129 yards in 21 carries.
