HACIENDA HEIGHTS : 4-Year-Old Girl Falls Under Bus Tires, Is Killed
A 4-year-old girl was run over and killed by a Foothill Transit bus in Hacienda Heights on Tuesday.
The accident occurred about 3:45 p.m. at Hacienda Boulevard and La Subida Drive, according to California Highway Patrol Sgt. Bruce Bonnett. He said the child, identified as Lorraine Hayes of Hacienda Heights, fell under the tires as she and her mother were getting off the bus and the driver was beginning to pull away. The child died at the scene, Bonnett said.
