PRO FOOTBALL DAILY REPORT : AROUND THE NFL : Worley Put on Non-Football Injury List
Chicago Bear running back Tim Worley, who missed a team flight during the weekend and is said by the team to be tending to personal matters, was placed on the reserve non-football injury list. His roster spot was filled by Kenny Shedd.

Quarterback Brett Favre, forced out of last Thursday’s game against Minnesota because of a muscle tear in his side, said that he expects to play against Chicago on Monday night. . . . Offensive tackle Mike Kenn underwent his second magnetic resonance imaging exam in two days for a back problem that could cut short his 17th and final season with the Atlanta Falcons. Kenn, 38, underwent an MRI exam Monday in a bid to find the problem, believed to be protruding disks. Physicians will compare the two tests in an effort to make a precise diagnosis, said Falcon spokesman Frank Kleha. . . . Cincinnati signed free agent quarterbacks Erik Wilhelm and Todd Philcox, both former Bengals. They will back up Jeff Blake, who is expected to start Sunday against the Cowboys because of injuries to David Klingler, who has a sprained knee, and Don Hollas, who suffered a separated shoulder. . . . Texas officials are pursuing a drunken-driving investigation against injured Cowboy Erik Williams, who remained hospitalized after an automobile accident.
