Limbaugh’s Accuracy
* Jeff Cohen and Norman Solomon of Fairness & Accuracy In Reporting, “Empty Bottles Make the Most Noise” (Column Left, Oct. 16), believe that 43 alleged “errors” by Rush Limbaugh are somehow a big deal.
Not counting previous radio stints or his TV show, Limbaugh’s current radio program alone represents about 5,000 hours of air time so far. Even if he made only one definitive statement per hour (the actual number is much higher), and if only 43 of those were wrong, then at least 4,957 or 99.14% were correct.
Limbaugh often jokingly brags that his accuracy rate is about 99%. How ironic that FAIR has unwittingly proven Limbaugh’s claim of near-perfect accuracy!

* Hasn’t anyone told Cohen and Solomon that only God, the Pope and The Times are infallible?

* On a few occasions recently I have watched Rush Limbaugh’s TV show. I have noticed that the following people are never in Rush’s audience of “dittoheads”:
African Americans, Asians, Hispanics, males with long hair, males with beards, females in short skirts, males or females in T-shirts and males or females in jeans.
