LA PALMA : Halloween Carnival Will Offer Fun, Safety
A free Halloween carnival for children will be held in Central Park, 7821 Walker St., from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Monday.
The event is being sponsored by several businesses and civic groups, including the La Palma Police Department. The carnival is designed to give children “a safe and fun place to go on Halloween night,” sponsors of the event said.
Costume contests, with prizes, will be held in age brackets ranging from infants to 12-year-olds.
Although there is no admission charge, event sponsors are asking parents to bring a canned or sealed-boxed food item for holiday distribution to needy families.
