FCC Asks for Further Data on Fox: Federal regulators escalated their investigation into the ownership of Fox Inc., saying they would seek further information from the network. The Federal Communications Commission’s Mass Media Bureau said it has reached no conclusion, according to a copy of the interim order. The main issue is whether Fox’s acquisition of the six TV stations that made up the foundation of its network violate foreign ownership limits, which prohibit a foreign company or individual owning more than 25% of a U.S. broadcast station. “We intend to comply fully and promptly with the commission’s request,” said Preston Padden, distribution president at Fox Broadcasting Co.
