Donald H. Pflueger; Local Historian and Professor
Donald H. Pflueger, 71, Southern California historian and professor at Cal Poly Pomona. Educated at Pomona College and Stanford University, Pflueger wrote such books as “Glendora: The Annals of a Southern California Community” in 1951 and “Covina: Sunflowers, Citrus, Subdivisions” in 1964. In addition to his writing and teaching, Pflueger was active in the Pomona Valley and Glendora historical societies and was on the board of the Historical Society of Southern California. He was also a commissioner of the California State Historical Resources Board. On Nov. 14 in Pomona of pneumonia.
