Works’ 36 Points Lead Cypress Past Cerritos
CYPRESS — Sara Works scored 36 points to help Cypress to a 61-46 victory over Cerritos in a nonconference women’s basketball game Friday at Cypress.
Works, a 6-foot-2 center, also had 13 rebounds. She struggled from the field though, making 15 of 36 shots. She was six of eight from the free-throw line. Cypress is 11-5 and Cerritos, which had no player in double figures, is 9-5.
