The Times has hired Lynne T. Jewell to serve as public relations and merchandising manager for the paper’s San Fernando Valley and Ventura County editions.
Before joining The Times, Jewell had headed the public relations department at the Los Angeles Daily News since 1983. She also previously worked in public relations for the Pasadena Tournament of Roses and USC.
Jewell received a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Florida, and started her career as a reporter for the Florida Times-Union in Jacksonville.
