In another Sunset League game:
Edison 1, Fountain Valley 0--After taking a pass from Todd Marcus late in the first half, Edison’s Brent Garza scored the winning goal from 18 yards in an upset over No. 2 Fountain Valley.
Chris Shay, who had four saves, recorded his sixth shutout for the Chargers (8-3-4, 1-1).
In the Century League:
Orange 2, Villa Park 1--Victor Diaz, off an assist by Lalo Rodriguez, scored the winning goal for Orange (8-5-2, 2-0) midway through the second half.
Daniel Califf scored the Panthers’ first goal. Brent Polakoff had the goal for Villa Park (7-5-4, 1-1).
In the Empire League:
Katella 9, Kennedy 0--Ramon Soto had three goals and two assists and Steve Dodd and Darrin Zinzer each had two goals for visiting Katella (4-7-3, 1-0). Kennedy is 3-5-3, 0-1.
Loara 2, Century 1--Jonathon LeProux scored two second-half goals, including the winner with 10 minutes remaining, to lead host Loara (4-6, 1-0). Jose Sanchez had five saves for the Saxons.
In the Freeway League:
Fullerton 3, Troy 2 (OT)--Aaron Olea scored the winning goal four minutes into overtime to lead host Fullerton (5-6-2, 1-1). R.J. Gregory added a goal and an assist for the Indians. Troy fell to 1-6, 1-1.
Sunny Hills 1, Sonora 1--Aaron Jenkins gave Sonora (8-7-1, 1-0-1) a 1-0 lead off an assist from Aaron Dacuycuy. Davis Lee tied it later in the first half for ninth-ranked Sunny Hills (10-3-1, 1-0-1).
In the Garden Grove League:
Pacifica 5, Bolsa Grande 0--Trevor Stivers had two goals and Evert Arevello had 12 saves for host Pacifica (7-2, 3-0). Bolsa Grande drops to 4-6, 0-2.
Santiago 8, La Quinta 0--Albert Mendez scored four goals for 10th-ranked Santiago (11-2, 2-1). Mendez leads the Cavaliers with 24 goals this season.
In the Golden West League:
Ocean View 1, Saddleback 1--Scott Schuttenhelm scored with 15 minutes left for host Ocean View (2-8-3, 0-1-1). Joseph Nesa scored a first-half goal for No. 4 Saddleback (7-3-4, 1-0-1).
In the Orange League:
Anaheim 1, Valencia 1--Juan Lopez tied the score 11 minutes into the second half for Anaheim (2-4-6, 0-2). Joel Leal scored in the first half for Valencia (4-5-3, 0-0-2).
In the Pacific Coast League:
Costa Mesa 3, Aliso Niguel 2--Dan Porter had two goals and Camilo Ramirez’s goal with one minute remaining gave Costa Mesa (6-4-2, 2-0) the victory. Aliso Niguel is 1-7-1, 0-2.
In the Sea View League:
Woodbridge 2, Corona del Mar 0--Gustav Gratzer scored on a penalty kick and Michael Jacobs scored another first-half goal for Woodbridge (9-5-1, 1-0-1).
In the South Coast League:
Capistrano Valley 1, Mission Viejo 0--Nick Hannay’s first-half goal, assisted by Trevor Layne, was all that fifth-ranked Capistrano Valley (10-3-2, 2-0) needed for the victory. Mission Viejo is 4-1-4, 0-1-1.
Trabuco Hills 2, Dana Hills 1--Dave Pardes scored the go-ahead goal in the 32nd minute to lead host Trabuco Hills (5-6, 1-1).
