MOORPARK : Hearing Scheduled on Golf Course Project
The Moorpark City Council and Planning Commission will jointly consider a 216-home golf course project at a public workshop Jan. 25.
The council scheduled the meeting to go over important environmental effects of the upscale Bollinger Development project, which is planned for 400 acres between Grimes Canyon Road and Walnut Canyon Road in Moorpark.
Along with luxury homes expected to cost about $1 million each, the development will include two 18-hole golf courses. The developer would give the city one course for public use in exchange for government financing of some improvements.
City officials said they plan several other opportunities for public comment over the coming months. A Planning Commission hearing on the Bollinger Development will be scheduled after a preliminary environmental study is completed soon.
