First El Dorado lost its first two games of the Empire League season, then last Wednesday it had to play first-place Katella. However, Miller made sure the Golden Hawks got their upset, scoring all 15 of his points in the second half of a 50-45 victory over the then-No. 6 Knights. In the fourth quarter, Miller made four consecutive free throws that gave his team its final lead. Friday, Miller, who is averaging 16.4 points and four assists, scored 30 points, making five three-pointers, in a 73-63 victory over Kennedy.
Basketball

* Trabuco Hills, senior. Scored 27 points in an 82-72 victory over Mission Viejo and 23 in a 69-64 victory over San Clemente. Made 85% of his free throws and 55.5% of his shots from the field.
Soccer
Seth George
* Santa Margarita, senior. Scored a goal in 1-0 victory over Corona del Mar, had two assists in 4-0 victory over Newport Harbor and three assists in 6-1 victory over Irvine.
Albert Mendez
* Santiago, sophomore. Scored five goals in victories over Garden Grove and Rancho Alamitos, giving him 30 in the season and tying the school and league record.
Wrestling
Leonard Ruiz
* Anaheim, junior. Won four matches by pin to lead the Colonists to the team title of the El Toro eight-way tournament.
