SOCCER ROUNDUP : Burnett’s Last-Minute Goal Carries Burbank

Sweeper Scott Burnett scored with less than a minute to play, giving Burbank High a 2-1 victory over visiting Hart in a Foothill League match Tuesday afternoon.
Burnett’s game-winner made up for a defensive error he committed midway through the second half that allowed Leon Chin to score for Hart (6-13-2, 3-7-1 in league play).
Andres Ossa scored the first goal for Burbank (7-9-4, 3-5-3) and Bulldog goalie Brett Baker made seven saves.
Quartz Hill 2, Ridgecrest Burroughs 0--Dante Vargas and Chris Grosser scored in the first half and the Rebels (17-1-2, 8-0-1) shut out the visiting Burros (9-11-1, 4-4-1) in a Golden League match.
Burroughs’ Michael Hobson made 15 saves and Quartz Hill’s Andy Rethi made six saves to earn his fifth shutout of the year.
Palmdale 5, Antelope Valley 2--Bryce Sewalson scored two goals for the Falcons (16-6-1, 6-3) in a Golden League match at Antelope Valley.
Goalie Jarrod Cline made five saves for the second-place Falcons, who can clinch a playoff berth with a victory over Quartz Hill on Friday.
Paraclete 1, Bishop 0--Vince Burton scored after five minutes of play and the host Spirits (7-7-2, 6-0-2) clinched the High Desert League championship.
Reseda 5, Sherman Oaks CES 0--William Diaz scored his 21st and 22nd goals of the season as the Regents (19-2-5, 7-0-4) overwhelmed the host Knights and clinched the Valley Pac-8 Conference title.
Calabasas 4, Nordhoff 0--Adam Cooper, David Appel, Alex Wan and Dan Rosenberg scored for the Coyotes (11-2-1, 4-1-1) in a Frontier League match at Calabasas.
Nordhoff’s Tony Aguilar made 12 saves.
Viewpoint 7, Stephen Wise 0--Justin Campbell scored three goals and Matt Ness added two for the host Patriots (7-7-2) in a nonleague match.
GIRLS
Crescenta Valley 5, Muir 0--Kelly Hom scored her 13th and 14th goals of the season and the Falcons (16-1-3, 8-0-1) clinched a share of the Pacific League title.
Hope Robertshaw, Stephanie Rigamat and Michele Cena also scored for Crescenta Valley.
Hart 1, Burbank 0--Mandy Stupar scored off an assist from Lisa Tobin in the first half and the Indians (11-4-4, 7-2-2) beat the visiting Bulldogs in a Foothill League match.
