SAN MARINO : Huntington Completes Redesign of Galleries
The Gutenberg Bible and other popular exhibits returned to public view at the Huntington Library this week after the first major redesign of the Exhibition Hall in more than 15 years.
Several exhibits were removed from display in August, 1993, to make room for “The Last Best Hope of Earth: Abraham Lincoln and the Promise of America.”
After the Lincoln exhibit closed in November, library officials decided to give the hall a new look. For instance, the display of more than 200 items is now arranged thematically instead of chronologically. Also, many new items are on view, including some that have rarely been displayed and many that have never been shown.
