THE PREPS : PREP ROUNDUP : Santiago Advances to Field Hockey Final
Sandra Rodriguez scored the game-winning goal with about four minutes remaining to give Santiago a 2-1 victory over Glendora Thursday in a semifinal game of the field hockey Tournament of Champions at Santiago.
Camelia Rodriguez scored her 26th goal of the season and had an assist for Santiago (23-4-3), which plays host to the championship game at 10:30 a.m. Saturday against Edison.

In Garden Grove League boys’ soccer:
Santiago 5, Garden Grove 1--Albert Mendez scored two goals and had two assists in Santiago’s victory. The Cavaliers (19-3, 10-2) finished in second place, and Garden Grove (7-4-1 in league) third. Santiago has scored 106 goals this season.
Los Amigos 2, Pacifica 1--Johannes Oestlund and Emir Rangel scored second-half goals as Los Amigos (5-14, 4-8) upset the league champion. Pacifica led, 1-0, at halftime.
