GM said it is recalling 34,000 1995-model Chevrolet Cavalier and Pontiac Sunfire cars to inspect the welds on the car’s suspension system. Ford is recalling 11,000 1995 Aerostar vans to fix a problem with the spare tires and 500 medium-duty trucks to correct a steering problem. GM said the recall affects Cavaliers and Sunfires built between July, 1994, and Jan. 3, 1995. Ford said 11,200 vans built between Oct. 13 and Nov. 16, 1994, are affected.
