Litton to Acquire Defense Units of Imo Industries
Litton Industries Inc., the Woodland Hills defense and aerospace concern, said it has tentatively agreed to acquire the electro-optical systems operations of Imo Industries Inc.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The Imo units being acquired are based in Dallas, and had 1994 sales of more than $110 million. The units develop and produce laser and night vision equipment for U. S. and international military markets.
The transaction is subject to regulatory approval and other conditions.
Litton’s two main business lines are military electronics and shipbuilding.
