Man Found Shot to Death Near Creek in Orange
ORANGE — The body of a 49-year-old man was found Tuesday on the south side of the Santiago Creek riverbed near his vehicle, in which authorities said they discovered almost $5,000 in cash.
The victim, who was not identified by police, had been shot numerous times with a small caliber handgun near a walking trail at the west side of W.O. Hart Park, Police Lt. Steve Ames said. A maintenance worker found the body at 8 a.m. in the middle of the foot path, Ames said.
No one has been arrested and the investigation is continuing.
