NHL ROUNDUP : Robitaille Leads Penguin Rally
Luc Robitaille scored twice, including the tying goal with just 20 seconds left, as the Pittsburgh Penguins rallied from a three-goal deficit to tie the Buffalo Sabres, 3-3, Sunday night at Pittsburgh.
Robitaille’s two goals gives the former King six goals in his last two home games.
The Penguins rebounded from their first loss of the season after a 13-game unbeaten streak to improve to 13-1-2.
Quebec 4, Florida 1--In Miami, Owen Nolan scored two goals and goaltender Jocelyn Thibault stopped 17 shots to win the third start of his career.
Chicago 4, Edmonton 1--Patrick Poulin scored twice at Chicago as the Blackhawks recorded their third victory over the Oilers this season.
Notes
Craig Janney, the St. Louis Blues’ top playmaker and No. 3 scorer the last two seasons, apparently has left the team while Coach Mike Keenan continues trying to trade him. A team spokesman said Janney was given permission by Keenan to take a couple of days off for personal reasons.
