Crash Near Grapevine Snarls Holiday Traffic
An accident on Interstate 5 just south of the Grapevine caused delays for thousands of motorists returning home Monday, authorities said.
A tractor-trailer and a car collided at 5:15 p.m. in the southbound lanes of I-5 north of Frazier Park, forcing authorities to close off all but one lane heading toward Los Angeles for about 90 minutes, said Officer Kerri Hawkins of the California Highway Patrol.
One person suffered minor injuries in the crash and was hospitalized, the officer said.
