Ton, one of the most well-rounded players in Orange County, outdid himself last week. In the first round of the Division I-AA playoffs, he had 27 points, eight assists and eight steals in a 70-67 victory over Long Beach Millikan. He had 14 of 15 free throws, including four of four in the final 31 seconds. In the second round, he had 27 points, 11 assists, seven steals and five rebounds in a 92-78 victory over Santa Ana Valley. He made 10 of 11 free throws in that game.

Chris Burgess
* Woodbridge, sophomore. Had 27 points, 13 rebounds and four blocked shots in a 75-47 victory over La Verne Damien and had 36 points, 16 rebounds and four blocks in a 72-67 victory over Agoura in the Division II-AA playoffs.
Paul Tayyar
* Fountain Valley, senior. Scored 18 of his 24 points in the second half of a 64-61 victory over Irvine and scored 24 in a 64-53 victory over Canyon Country Canyon in I-A playoffs.

Wade Fraser
* El Toro, sophomore. Scored three goals in the Chargers’ 4-1 victory over University in the Division III playoffs.
Wrestling
Andrew Pena
* Irvine, sophomore. Upset four seeded wrestlers to win the 121-pound title at the section Division II championships, helping Irvine finish second. Pinned third-seeded David Delgado of Montebello in the final.
