WEST ADAMS : Vendors Sought for Marketplace
FAME Renaissance, the business and economic development arm of First AME Church, is sponsoring two events aimed at increasing entrepreneurial opportunities in the community.
The organization is seeking vendors for a marketplace to be held March 11.
The event is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Golden State Mutual Life parking lot, 1999 S. Western Ave. Food, clothes, arts and crafts, jewelry, household goods and other items will be sold. Booth reservations will be taken on a first-come, first-served basis. The vendor fee is $150 for one booth and $250 for two. The deadline is Wednesday.
FAME Renaissance also is kicking off a 10-week entrepreneurial training program starting tomorrowat 7 p.m. in the Golden State Mutual Life auditorium.
Instruction will focus on setting up a business, as well as updating participants on the latest business practices and procedures. Sessions will be held Mondays through May 1. Fee for the course is $90.
