FULLERTON : Yellow Cab Co. Is Allowed to Hike Rates
It costs more to use taxicabs in this city now that the City Council has allowed Yellow Cab Co. of North Orange County Inc. to increase its rates.
Yellow Cab’s taxis now charge $1.80 (or 20 cents more) per mile and $22 (or $2 more) for each hour they spend waiting for customers.
The new prices took effect Feb. 21.
City officials said taxicab rates have not been increased in five years.
Yellow Cab said it was time to do so because of increased operating costs.
