OXNARD : 5 Adults, 4 Juveniles Arrested in Sweep

Police arrested nine people--four of them juveniles--during a gang sweep through Oxnard on Wednesday.

One adult and a juvenile offender were also cited and released during the 19 probation searches conducted by 27 Oxnard and Port Hueneme police officers throughout the day, authorities said.

The adults arrested were Eric Segovia, 19, of Oxnard, on a misdemeanor warrant; Danny Romero, 19, of Oxnard, on a felony warrant; Mario Almade, 24, on a misdemeanor warrant; Samuel Robinson, 18, of Oxnard, suspected of having an illegal knife and violation of probation, and Manuel Pereira, 19, on a misdemeanor warrant.

The four juveniles were booked at Juvenile Hall. Three of the youths are suspected of violating terms of their probation, police said.

Several weapons, including a crossbow, were also seized during the sweep, along with an unknown amount of marijuana, police said.
