Rams’ St. Louis Deal Has Sour Taste for Fans

In regard to Friday’s article on the St. Louis Rams, you quoted George Frontiere as saying: “I feel like I’ve fallen into a honey pot.” I reply, dear Georgia, you’ve been in the honey pot for some time. But just do me a favor and stay in your back yard and don’t stink up mine.

John (Shaw) and Georgia have ripped out the hearts of thousands of loyal fans who were there win or lose. John and Georgia are on the same low level as (Robert) Irsay and (Al) Davis. We will never forgive and forget, just like the fans in Baltimore and Oakland.

If Georgia loves St. Louis so much and considers it her home, then why doesn’t she move there permanently? Because she is certainly not welcome or wanted anywhere in Southern California, particularly L.A. and Orange counties.

Leigh Steinberg’s effort to “Save the Rams” was destined for failure from the outset, but at least he made an effort. That is certainly more than can be said for Georgia Frontiere, who made no effort for anyone other than herself. Hopefully Leigh’s failure to keep the Rams here will result in a new team in Anaheim that actually cares about the players and the fans.

St. Louis has been successful in spending megabucks to bring the Los Angeles Rams to Missouri, which will now be known as the “Snow Me” state.
