THOUSAND OAKS--The 22nd annual Scandinavian Festival on April 22 celebrates the cultures of Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Finland, Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia. Scandinavian and Baltic food, arts, crafts, music, dancing and kids’ activities fill Kingsmen Park at California Lutheran University, 60 W. Olsen Road. 10 a.m.-6 p.m. $4, general; $1, kids under 10. CORONADO--The 70th Coronado Flower Show brings abundant color and creativity to Spreckels Park, 1-5 p.m. April 22; 10 a.m.-4 p.m. April 23. Themed “70 Bloomin’ Years,” the show features flowers of all kinds in various arrangements, educational exhibits, plant sales and entertainment. On Orange Avenue, between 6th and 7th streets. $2, general; $1, kids. Concurrent festivities in Coronado include: “Motorcars and Music on Mainstreet,” Sunday; Art-in-the-Park, Saturday-Sunday. LANCASTER--Our state flower is the star at the California Poppy Festival, 9 a.m.-5 p.m. April 22-23 in Lancaster City Park, 43011 N. 10th St. West, off Avenue L. Free. The 1995 Tour de Poppy Bicycle Ride and Race is 6:30 a.m. Saturday; the 5K/10K Poppy Run is 8 a.m. Sunday; balloon races are 7 a.m. both mornings. (805) 723-6077.

GLEN ELLEN--”Romancing the Olive,” the second annual B.R. Cohn California Olive Oil Festival, is April 22-23 at the B.R. Cohn Winery, 15140 Sonoma Highway. Twenty olive oil companies and 17 chefs are showcased in demonstrations, seminars and foods for sale. Noon-5 p.m. Saturday; 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sunday. $3. (707) 938-4064.

HEALDSBURG--Fine arts and crafts and gourmet food and wine are paired for “Art on the Move,” noon-5 p.m. April 23. The juried fine arts and crafts exhibition is held at Simi Winery, 16275 Healdsburg Ave.; Summerhouse Gallery, 419 Allen Court, and at a studio. Ongoing free shuttle service provided. $10.
