Company Town : Paramount Names New Pay TV Vice President

Lynn Heide was named vice president of business development and operations for the worldwide pay television division of Paramount Pictures’ Motion Picture Group.

Heide’s tasks include exploring ways to expand Paramount’s pay TV operations through venture and licensing deals.

* Hanna-Barbera Cartoons Inc. said it will open an international office in London by the end of the third quarter. Jed Simmons, recently named executive vice president, will head the office.

* Michael Grindon was promoted to president of Columbia TriStar International Television. He had been executive vice president.

* Ann Flower, former public relations director of the Regent Beverly Wilshire hotel, will join Warren Cowan & Associates as vice president of the leisure and hotel division.

* Former Warner Bros. executive Neil Goldberg was named vice president of Witt-Thomas Films.

* Movie soundtrack specialist Michael Dilbeck has formed Dilbeck Entertainment to work on music supervision for films.

* Lawrence H. Szabo was promoted to vice president of financial planning and strategy for MGM/UA Home Entertainment.

* Donna Ebbs has joined Davis Entertainment Television as vice president of development.

* Pamela Suchman has joined the Edward S. Feldman company as director of development.

* Howard Davine has been appointed vice president of network television and business affairs for Walt Disney Television.
