BASEBALL / DAILY REPORT : AROUND THE MAJORS : Coleman Joins Royals Today

The Kansas City Royals put outfielder Phil Hiatt on the 15-day disabled list because of a collapsed right lung Saturday and purchased the contract of Vince Coleman from triple-A Omaha.
Hiatt was taken to a Chicago hospital Friday night, where a chest catheterization was performed to inflate the lung.
Coleman was batting .395 (15 for 38) in nine games at Omaha. He will join the Royals today.
