Electronic Entertainment Expo: More than 300 exhibitors, from entertainment giants Nintendo and Sony to lesser-known start-ups such as Headbone Interactive and Teraglyph Interactive, will show their digital wares Thursday through Saturday at the Electronic Entertainment Expo at the Los Angeles Convention Center. About 30,000 buyers from software outlets, record store chains, bookstores and mass-market retailers are expected to attend. This is the first year for E3, as it is being called, whose creation was sparked by the rapidly growing interactive industry’s desire to have its own trade show separate from the summer Consumer Electronics Show, which is traditionally held in Chicago. It is expected to be the largest trade show dedicated exclusively to electronic entertainment and information. For more information, 800-787-EXPO.
