SIMI VALLEY : Residents Invited to Dump Trash Free
Simi Valley residents can dump their trash free of charge this Sunday at the Simi Valley Landfill and Recycling Center.
The free trash day is one of several held throughout the year as part of the dump’s contract with the city. Trash will be accepted only from those with proof of Simi Valley residency, such as a driver’s license.
The dump will accept household rubbish, appliances, concrete, asphalt, wood and green waste. No tires or hazardous waste will be accepted.
Residents should separate recyclables so they are not dumped into the landfill. Loads must be covered and residents must unload their own trash.
The landfill, at 2801 Madera Road, will be open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. For more information, call the landfill at 522-1116.
