The victory was the second for Rice (43-18) over LSU in the double-elimination event. The Owls, who lost to Cal State Fullerton, 17-7, earlier in the day, will face the Titans today.

LSU had remained alive in the losers’ bracket with a 10-5 victory over Central Michigan. Nathan Dunn hit a three-run homer and Mike Koerner added a two-run homer for the Tigers, who finished the season at 47-17.
