Kotsay Helps U.S. Defeat Japan, 8-3

Mark Kotsay of Cal State Fullerton singled home Jacque Jones of USC and also scored a run to help the USA baseball team defeat Japan, 8-3, Friday in Millington, Tenn.
Matt LeCroy of Clemson led the U.S. team, going three for five with two doubles and three runs batted in. In all, the U.S. team had 14 hits and six doubles.
The U.S. team is on a 13-city, 35-game summer-long tour.
