FULLERTON : Fireworks, Festival to Close Some Streets

Streets will be closed and no parking will be allowed around the Fullerton High School campus on the Fourth of July, when about 25,000 people are expected to attend the city’s sixth annual Community Fireworks Show and Festival.

Lemon Street between Chapman Avenue and Valley View Drive, and Berkeley Avenue between Chapman and Harbor Boulevard will be closed from 3:30 to 10:30 p.m. Tuesday. Parking on those streets will be prohibited.

Free parking will be available at the Plummer parking structure at the southwest corner of Lemon and Chapman; the Wilshire parking structure on Wilshire Avenue a block east of Harbor Boulevard, and Municipal Court at 1275 N. Berkeley Ave.

The event, from 4 to 9:30 p.m., will feature a 9 p.m. aerial fireworks display set to music. Other entertainment will include music by the Country Store Band, country line dancing, a pie-eating contest, a petting zoo, game booths and pony rides.

Cost is $6 for adults and $4 for children under 12.
