5 Bus Routes Altered and 1 Route Added
South Coast Area Transit riders will find an amended schedule on five routes beginning Sunday, and officials are launching a service to the new Oxnard High School campus on Gonzales Road.
The changes call for the Port Hueneme-to-Oxnard Transportation Center schedule to be altered slightly so the bus arrivals match the Metrolink commuter train service.
Other changes affect the routes from Oxnard to downtown Ventura, Pleasant Valley to Oxnard and St. John’s Regional Medical Center through El Rio and Ojai to Ventura.
The new route runs through north Oxnard and will provide service from the transportation center to the new Oxnard High School during peak school hours.
Transit officials typically analyze ridership on their routes throughout the year and implement any changes around July 1.
