David S. Hannah; Retired Executive of H. F. Ahmanson & Co.

David S. Hannah, 72, retired senior executive and director of H.F. Ahmanson & Co., parent company of Home Savings of America. He was also former mayor of Arcadia and former president of the Board of Trustees of Pasadena City College. After Navy service during World War II, Hannah graduated from UCLA and joined the Ahmanson company, eventually becoming an associate to Howard F. Ahmanson Sr., the firm’s founder. He retired in 1988 as senior vice president and secretary and earlier this year as a director. He served on the Arcadia City Council from 1982 to 1986 and was mayor in 1984-85.
