Greenpeace

Your article about the attack by French navy commandos on the Rainbow Warrior II was shocking (July 10). Greenpeace is the one organization that has taken action to protect our environment. I wish that you had not used “militant environmentalists” to describe Greenpeace. Greenpeace has a code of nonviolence. Calling attention to government and corporate malfeasance is not militancy; adjectives like courage and honesty would be more appropriate.
