Elsewhere, Fox Television Stations Inc., a unit of News Corp., acquired WBRC-TV in Birmingham, Ala., from New World Communications Group Inc. for $100 million, increasing Fox’s holdings to 11 television stations in markets covering 21% of U.S. television households.
