Man Is Shot in Car at Stop Sign
A 24-year-old Fillmore man was shot in the thigh Tuesday afternoon at Ojai Road and Saticoy Street in Santa Paula, police said.
Frank Arias was in stable condition Tuesday at Santa Paula Memorial Hospital.
Arias had been waiting in his car at a stop sign when a pedestrian asked him where he was from, said Sgt. Gary Marshall of the Santa Paula Police Department. When Arias answered “Fillmore,” the pedestrian shot him, Marshall said. An investigation is continuing.
