Three Gunmen Rob Costa Mesa Cellular Store
COSTA MESA — Three men held two employees at a business at gunpoint Tuesday before stealing about $4,000 worth of electronic equipment, authorities said.
About 10 a.m., three men about 25 to 35 years old entered Nutek Cellular in the 1900 block of Harbor Boulevard from the front and back doors, Police Sgt. George Yezbick said. Two of them held the employees while the third tied them up with duct tape, Yezbick said.
“They took cellular phones and beepers,” he said, “and then escaped in an ’89 black BMW.”
The employees, who were not injured, freed themselves and called police after the assailants left.
