Hycor Biomedical Inc.: The Irvine medical diagnostic products developer posted second-quarter profit of $572,000, or 7 cents a share, a 30% drop from the $814,000, or 10 cents a share, recorded for last year’s second three-month period. Quarterly revenue declined 4% to $6.8 million from $7.1 million. First-half profit fell 31% to $1.1 million, or 14 cents a share, from $1.6 million, or 19 cents a share, for the corresponding six-month period last year. Revenue slipped 2% for the six-month period to $13.3 million from $13.6 million. In addition, the company announced a major restructuring that will result in recording a onetime, pretax charge in the third quarter ranging from $1 million to $2 million.
