MOORPARK : City OKs Study of Development Plan
City officials in Moorpark have approved a plan to review the environmental impact that a 475- to 712-home development on the north side of town would have.
The Moorpark City Council approved a developer’s plan to pay a private consultant about $225,000 to look into the effects of building the homes on 475 acres east of Walnut Canyon Road and west of College Heights Drive.
The developers, Morrison Ventures and Fountainwood-Agoura, have hired EDAW Inc., an environmental consulting firm from Irvine.
Company officials said the study will take more than a year. The first public meetings on the environmental impact review will take place in November.
