Jimmy Buffett’s undying parrot-head following helped make his “Barometer Soup” this week’s most impressive debut in The Times’ Southern California charts, coming in at No. 5 on the pop album chart and No. 1 on the country album chart. Meanwhile, Notorious B.I.G.’s “One More Chance” fell from the No. 1 spot on the singles chart both nationally and locally, bowing to Vanessa Williams’ “Colors of the Wind.”
