SIMI VALLEY : ‘Armed and Female’ Author Will Speak
Paxton Quigley is armed, female and scheduled to speak in Simi Valley on Thursday during a National Rifle Assn. function at the Clarion Hotel.
Quigley, a self-defense expert and gun proponent, is best known for her book “Armed and Female: Twelve Million American Women Own Guns. Should You?”
She is also the author of “Not an Easy Target” and has appeared on numerous radio and television shows espousing her views on guns and gun laws.
She will speak Thursday night on “Women’s Empowerment in the ‘90s.”
The event is sponsored by the east county chapter of the NRA. Members of that chapter are admitted free, and others are charged $5, which can be used toward purchasing an NRA membership. Reservations are required.
Doors open at 7 p.m. and Quigley is scheduled to speak at 7:30.
