Negotiations Continue at US West: Contract talks continued between US West Communications Inc. and the union representing 35,000 workers at the regional telephone company, but both sides said a strike is remote. The Denver-based firm’s three-year contract with the Communications Workers of America expired Saturday, but the two sides agreed to return to the bargaining table.
