The Orange County Center for Contemporary Art will hold its 15th annual benefit art auction and party Sept. 17 from 5 to 9 p.m. at the Santora Building, 207 N. Broadway, Santa Ana. Works by 60 artists from Orange and Los Angeles counties will be on sale. The works will be displayed at OCCCA, 3621 W. MacArthur Blvd., Space 111, Santa Ana, from Sept. 7 through 17 (11 a.m to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays). Admission to the auction and party (there’ll be food, wine and live jazz) will be $15 per person, $25 per couple. (714) 549-4989.

Meanwhile, OCCCA officials have announced that the center’s oft-delayed move from south Santa Ana to the city’s Artists Village downtown has been postponed again. OCCCA board president Mike McGee says the delay has to do with securing approval to refurbish the center’s proposed new home, a historic building at Sycamore and 2nd streets. The hope now is that the remodeling can be completed by late next spring. McGee said the center may go dark next summer, during its transition into the new space.
