Ventura Printing Installs Earth-Friendly Color Press
Ventura Printing in Ventura says it has installed a state-of-the-art waterless printing press that reduces the environmental impact of color printing.
The new press is expected to lower Ventura Printing’s pollutant emissions by 25%, or about two tons annually, according to David Wilson, the company’s general manager.
He said the unit offers improved quality and is easier to operate than other large printing presses.
In addition, Wilson estimates that his plant will save as many as 500,000 sheets of paper annually because of the unit’s increased efficiency.
Ventura Printing used the new press in reproducing the poster for this year’s Ventura County Fair.
