Hughes Identification Devices Inc: The Tustin division is one of two being sold by parent Hughes Electronics Corp. to a group including management of the divisions and Citicorp Venture Capital Ltd. Los Angeles-based Hughes Electronics said Thursday it also is selling its Technology Products Division in Carlsbad. “The sale is part of an ongoing effort by Hughes to divest itself of operations not determined to be strategic,” said Charles H. Noski, corporate senior vice president and chief financial officer of Hughes Electronics. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The divisions are expected to continue supplying components to other Hughes units. Hughes Identification has about 30 employees, and the Technology Products Division has a work force of more than 370. Hughes Identification produces radio frequency identification cards and readers used in access control devices. The unit also has a small facility in Boulder, Colo.
