In the 1960s, three Orange County towns decided to incorporate because they feared annexation.
San Juan Capistrano incorporated in 1961, Villa Park in 1962 and Yorba Linda in 1967. San Juan Capistrano didn’t want to be part of San Clemente, Villa Park of Orange or Yorba Linda of Placentia.
